Employee volunteering can bring a wealth of benefits to the Council and is a traditional way to support the development of key skills such as communication, team working, project management, etc. and provides an opportunity to give practical and specialised support to community groups. Cycle to work
The cycle to work scheme via the Council’s Benefits site ‘MyChoice’ gives you the opportunity to purchase a brand new bike and cycling equipment through salary sacrifice. Further details can be found via the MyChoice benefits site.
Bexley also offers Adults Only Level 2 bike road training, this is aimed to equip participants with the skills needed to ride on the road. For further details please contact email@example.com
CarShare & Hybrid Electric Vehicle pool Car Scheme
The Pool Car Scheme enables employees to use brand new (environmentally friendly) vehicles to drive to meetings, site visits and other work-related travel, allowing you to leave your own car at home and no need to complete mileage forms. To help reduce pollution and congestion, the Council has a CarShare scheme dedicated for employees who commute from the same area and wish to car share.
Bexley is the Highest Recycling Borough in London for the past 13 years.
A range of bins for waste and recycling are available in the Atrium and kitchen areas including food waste, Plastic and Cans and Paper and Cardboard. Certain food packaging from the Cafe are 100% compostable so please those in the food recycling bins.
Zip taps are installed at each Tea point to provide staff with filtered cold drinking water. So there is no need to buy plastic water bottles just fill up your usually mug.
